Why We Do

Our Mission

When was the last time you fully checked in with yourself?

If it’s been a while, hey we get it. You’re busy and whose got time when all those other things need to be checked on? Daily monotony, endless responsibilities, and our modern lack of challenge allow complacency to take hold of our lives. And, complacency is a breeding ground for our rising and shockingly high rates of anxiety and depression. We believe complacency impedes your ability to discover and pursue a fulfilling life.

When you only have a few select days in a year to dedicate to your own personal adventure and fulfillment, you might have been in a scenario where you were trying to get everything in order – for days on end. When the time finally arrives, something may come up and you sacrifice what you want to do for what you must do. The reality is – is what you must do is prioritize you.

At Zanarkand Coffee Roasters, we believe a complacent life is an empty life. We believe in reflection, stimulating creativity, and taking action to explore a more fulfilling life.

You will get to the point where you’ve had enough of the complacency in your life and have accepted a need for investing in your personal adventure. And when that occurs, we will be here for you. You want the beginning of that adventure day, week, or year to set a positive tone in exchange for the time and energy you have invested in yourself. As your adventure, your game-changing, authentic, hard-as-shit transition to being a more complete human begins, know we have been prepping for this day – your day. We have dedicated the time and energy into the craft of coffee so when you are ready to go and do, the drink in your hand will not be holding you back. Instead, we have created it to inspire your adventure forward.

Every decision we make is rooted in the belief that complacency deters you from a fulfilling life. The way we battle against complacency is by slowing you down, encouraging you to go outside, and by highlighting spaces for you to begin new adventures within and outside of yourself.

We just so happen to make phenomenal coffee.
